The 6-step workflow

Each step has a clear deliverable. You stay informed at every stage with photos, documents, and tracking numbers.

Inquiry & sourcing

Day 0-7 · Buyer + SH GLOBAL

You contact us with your requirements. We respond within an hour during Korea business hours (Mon-Sat 09:00-19:00 KST). Provide:

  • Make, model, year range (or describe what you need)
  • Budget (FOB or landed)
  • Destination country and port
  • Optional: fuel type, transmission, color, mileage cap

We send 3-5 candidate vehicles from our 200+ public inventory or, for sourcing requests, search the Korean wholesale market (500,000+ vehicles, 1-2 weeks turnaround).

What you receive: Photo set, mileage, registration year, accident/owner history summary, FOB price quote.

Inspection & quote

Day 7-10 · SH GLOBAL inspection lot

You select a vehicle. We move it to the Suwon inspection lot (or run a thorough check at the source dealer) and produce:

  • Korean Government Performance Inspection Report (성능점검) — engine, transmission, brakes, paint, structural
  • Accident history (insurance database)
  • Odometer authenticity verification
  • 40+ photos including underbody and engine bay
  • FOB invoice + shipping estimate to your destination
What you receive: Inspection report PDF, photo album, sealed FOB quote valid for 7 days.

Payment

Day 10-12 · Buyer's bank → SH GLOBAL

You pay against the invoice in USD. Two payment methods:

  • T/T (telegraphic transfer): SWIFT bank transfer to SH GLOBAL Co., Ltd.'s corporate account. Standard for orders under $200,000.
  • L/C (letter of credit): Bank-guaranteed payment. Recommended for first-time buyers and orders over $200,000.

Once funds are confirmed, we proceed to documentation. We never ship without confirmed payment.

What you receive: Receipt of payment, confirmation that documentation is in progress.

Documentation

Day 12-18 · SH GLOBAL + Korean customs

We prepare and file all required Korean export paperwork. This is where most amateur exporters fail — incomplete or incorrect documentation causes delays at the destination port. SH GLOBAL handles:

  • Korean Export Declaration (수출신고필증)
  • Original vehicle registration + deregistration certificate
  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Bill of Lading (B/L) — original issued upon shipping
  • Country-specific certificates: SASO (Saudi Arabia), GCC conformity (UAE), EAEU SoC (Central Asia), where applicable
What you receive: Full document package by email + originals via DHL once shipping confirmed.

Shipping

Day 18-50 · Korea → destination port

Vehicle is loaded at Busan or Incheon port. Routing depends on destination:

  • Busan port: Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Mediterranean. Container (40HQ for 1-2 cars) or Ro-Ro (driven onto vessel).
  • Incheon port: Central Asia (overland transit via Russia/China), Russia direct, North Europe.

Transit times by destination:

  • UAE / Saudi Arabia: 18-25 days (Busan)
  • Kazakhstan / Uzbekistan / Kyrgyzstan: 20-30 days (Incheon overland)
  • Ghana / Kenya / Nigeria: 30-40 days (Busan)
  • Albania: 35-45 days (Busan via Mediterranean)
What you receive: Container or vessel tracking number, B/L scan, ETA at destination port.

Arrival & customs clearance

Day 30-45 · Destination port + buyer's customs broker

Vehicle arrives at the destination port. The buyer (or a local customs broker) handles import clearance using:

  • Original B/L (received from SH GLOBAL by DHL)
  • Commercial invoice + packing list
  • Korean export declaration
  • Country-specific certificates as required

SH GLOBAL provides remote support during clearance. Each country has different duty structures — check our country pages for specifics:

End result: Vehicle cleared, registered locally, delivered to your address or pickup at port.
